Fiber Devices Research Line

Our work on fiber-based devices includes different technologies:

• Design and fabrication of Fiber Bragg Gratings for communication networks and systems (dispersion compensation and optical filters) as well as sensing applications (high temperature, stress, pressure, chemical) using singlemode fibers, multimode fibers and multicore fibers.
• Design of multicore fibers and few-mode fibers to act as distributed signal processing elements with particular delay ans dispersion characteristics.
