Ivana Gasulla Mestre

I am a Distinguished Researcher (previously, Ramon y Cajal Fellow) and Deputy Director for Promotion at the iTEAM Research Institute of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. In 2016, I was awarded a Consolidator Grant by the European Research Council to develop new Space-Division Multiplexing technologies for emergent fiber-wireless communications through the project InnoSpace.

Between Stanford and Valencia, the results of my work have led to around 130 international publications, highlighting contributions to Nature Communications and Nature Scientific Reports, as well as several invited papers to Nature Photonics. I am/have been member of the Technical Program Committee of the European Conference on Optical Communications (ECOC), the Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) and the IEEE International Topical Meeting on Microwave Photonics (MWP), among others.
